SARA AVANT STOVER, R.Y.T., is founder of Dhamma
Bait, a private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia, with
the mission of creating opportunities for individuals to taste the
Truth.
A certified Kripalu teacher and a registered Yoga
Alliance teacher, Sara has been practicing yoga regularly since
1996. She has studied with senior teachers of the ashtanga,
Kripalu, and iyengar traditions in the U.S. and in Asia.
Non-judgmental body and breath awareness, safety, and compassion
are key components to her classes.
Sara has taught yoga in schools, studios, and healing
centers in Thailand and the U.S. She believes in the power of yoga
to connect us to who we really are. Also a vipassana meditator
according to the S.N. Goenka tradition, Sara passionately believes
that meditation is a natural outcome of a regular hatha yoga
practice.
Off the mat, Sara offers sessions in Thai Yoga Bodywork,
foot reflexology, and the Art of Eating. Mindful, nurturing bodywork
and diet are important ways to live one's yoga and to bring the
body into balance.
